Re: Moving house
Anyone who needs two weeks to move house must be taking one item at a time in a very small car. I took one day off work last time.

Must be easy to relocate if no one likes you.

Re: Moving house
Normally takes approx 2 or 3 months to complete so just notify them in advance you will be taking a couple of weeks out of your annual holiday.

Re: Moving house
Yeah, I was in a key role and they needed to 'persuade' enough core players to take up their roles in the new gaff, so they made it worth the effort.

I think moving areas and not knowing anyone is a big challenge. A bit bigger than I thought, as it turned out. If you're moving somewhere you are familiar with, or already know people, it wouldn't be so tricky, obviously.

BP paid for Pickfords gold service, penners - Mr Shifter boxed up all the toys!!

Re: Moving house
It all depends how much decorating/DIY needs doing. I took two weeks off, but there was a lot of work to be done.

Re: Moving house
I took two weeks off when we moved from Essex to SURREY.

We didn't know anyone or the area, but as BP were handing over about £15,000 relocation expenses, I had a whale of a time!
